I absolutely love this product! I bought this so i could burn and listen to CDs on my macbook air expecting poor qualities, because it was $50 cheaper than the external CD player made by apple recommended for my macbook but this completely exceeded my expectations by being able to burn a CD faster than my old macbook pro. If your computer does not have a cd or dvd player or if it does have one that is slow this is the product for you, you will not find a better external cd player for the price. The one and only down side to this product is that it requires to usb slots, on used to power the device the other used to transfer data *note the usb for power does not need to be plugged in the computer it can be plugged in to adapter and then in to a outlet.
