When I received this writer I was impressed with how compact it is. I am using it with my HTPC and when I plugged it in, it was ready to go. I didn't have to do anything else with it. I started putting my CD collection onto my hard drive and it is pretty quick. I have yet to burn anything with it but I am sure that I will have no issues.
