This little powerhouse does it all ,it reads , burns and plays any CD, DVD AND BlueRay out there. There is nothing this item does not do, even the small DVD-RAM discs. The Black Friday Price of 99.99 was a steal and the delivery fast and furious. I was hoping not to disappoint my son , by not getting it on time as an X-mas gift since the delivery window would have allowed 4 it. It is a welcome development to find blu ray burners which are so affordable now. Never thought I would see the day this soon. I chose this one after much research, and have no regrets. No failed burns yet (out of 15) using Verbatim 25GB BD-R media. It is wonderful to be able to back up enormous numbers of photos and files on a single disc. The machine is small, fast and quiet. The supplied dual USB cable is funky but it works. You need two USB ports on your computer with this cable. The Cyberlink software (PowerDVD 9, plus others) works well overall considering it came with the machine. Note that in order to create, play, or burn "iso" disc image files (should you choose to work with this file type) I found I needed other (non Cyberlink) software, which can be found and downloaded fairly easily.
