HP External Ultra-Slim Multi Format DVD/CD Writer DVD600S

I bought this just to have a dvd player available for my HP envy 15 Laptop. I chose this because I wanted to stick to the brand. I could have opted for other models which were cheaper, but then again, this was fairly new on the market. This allowed me to think in terms of compatibility with the Windows8 OS. It does have a very small USB cable attached to it, which is stored under the unit. For Laptops, no problem, but if you're planning to use it on desktops, then consider attaching to a longer USB cable with attaching port. Other than that, sleek and slender built.
